First thing I did in 2020 – Registered as a Democrat.

I attended a meeting for the Concord Democratic Committee and I will be petitioning to be a Erie County Democratic Committee Member.

And now, I signed up for Election Inspector Training to work for the various election days coming up in 2020.

There is a great need for Election Inspectors. Not many people have flexible schedules where they can take off of work to put in a 16 hour work day. YES. It’s a long, long day. And you don’t work in shifts, you work the whole day. It is long and tiring and IMPORTANT. A million years ago I served as an inspector when we still had voting machines. But then I unaffiliated with a party and slipped away. No more. I want to do whatever I can to help. If someone thinks they are registered and they come to vote on election day – I WANT TO MAKE SURE they are counted. There are a million little things that can go wrong, and do go wrong, and if I can be a person who maes sure that everything goes right, well, count me in. ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR which I truly believe is the most important election in my lifetime.
