I’m going for the PIXIE cut! I made an appointment at Crown BFLO next week!
I knew it was a matter of time once I decided back in November to Ditch the Dye. I’m IMPATIENT! On my birthday last month, I did the typical Jenny chop – 6 inches to a bob. BUT this one felt THICK. MUSHROOM CAP BOWL CUT instead of thin, flippy fun bob. I find myself pulling the middle section of my hair into a ponytail and dreaming of just chopping it off. (HWMMS thinks I really am going to, I’m not…I don’t think I am anyhow.)
So…I’m thinking the stylist will be able to chop out most of the dyed brown and my new salt & pepper will shine.
I’ve spent COUNTLESS HOURS looking at short cuts the last few weeks. I finally decided on an inspiration board.
What’s the worst case scenario? I don’t like it? It grows back. Life goes on. But I really don’t think I’m not going to like it. I want it gone, now.
I’m the lowest of the low hair maintenance person. Seriously. I actually hate going to the salon. I’ve had two (maybe 3) diffrerent styled cuts the last 20+ years. Which are basically the same, just a matter of length. I go to any ol place I see when I decide I want to get it done. No loyalty. Just cut and go. And then 90% of the time? I wear it in a ponytail anyhow.
Crown BFLO has been on my radar since they were a part of the Ignite Buffalo – awardees a few years ago. I covet the photos of all the funky bold colors they do. AND LOVE THEIR MISSION TO ELIMINATE GENDER BASED PRICING. I mean, isn’t a cut a cut a cut? Like a freaking person is a person is a person? And LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE? Yeah, it’s a mission I can embrace.
Just remind me that I decided to DITCHTHEDYE and not be tempted to go lilac or purple, just for a little while? I mean if it’s all gonna be chopped off and it’s coming in light, wouldn’t that be the perfect…………….ha. No. BUT ON THE DAY I DECIDED I was going to call Crown and get the cut, they posted THIS DREAMY GORGEOUS COLOR on their Insta. It’s a sign? Maybe?
Stay tuned!
