And on my 40th day of self-quarantine-isolation, I have a new found respect for Noah.
The year is 2020.
I have no idea what day it is.
I look outside and see snow and not sure what month it is.
I read the news and wonder what country I live in, cause this can’t possibly be THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Yet, here we are.
Should I actually try to do something, anything today? #Day40

Today, I’m dream shopping online. I keep going to different stores finding about $100 worth of “stuff” (on sale, of course) ((that I don’t need)) and put it in my cart and then move along to the next store.
- Yankee Candle. Buy One Large Jar Get One Free! (But I don’t need 6 jar candles…)
- Pier One. Buy 4 pieces of Wall Decor and get 40% off! (But I don’t need 4 pieces of wall decor…)
- Bath & Body Works: 6 for $26 (But I already have at least 6 more in storage from the last time!)
I had to laugh when I heard HWMMS say this later on in the day…
HWMMS: Save for Later, my cart with 77 items.
Me: WHAT? And I thought I was bad!
HWMMS: I like to see the prices fluctuate.
I ended up buying a whole bunch of those coir liners for our hanging baskets for the porch. And a (wee) acrylic paint set. ($15) BECAUSE I’M GOING TO PAINT!
And I secured a Sunday afternoon grocery pickup…
In addition to *not* shopping, I’m listening to Julie Andrews Biography – Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years on audiobook (from the Buffalo & Erie County Library while playing Words With Friends with my mom. I’m WINNING AT unemployment quarantine!
Aside – I had NO IDEA Heinrich Himmler lived in the Von Trapp house! The things you learn from books.
