All Things 10/20/2022

I love snow. I love love love love the winter weather.

And honestly? Seeing this sight last night – made me not smile. Maybe it’s because I know how many outside chores are left to do out in the garden?

Ha – this made me laugh. I have warty gourds from the garden. I’m not a fan of apple picking – but need to buy apples. I’ve documented the dying forest, have giant veggies out to rot and had squash bean water. SEE I’M NOT READY FOR WINTER YET!

Yesterday, I blended the roasted eggplant, summer squash, delicata squash and sunchokes….with dried ginger and chicken broth and OMG WHAT A BASE FOR SOOOOOOUUUUP. I’m thinking about adding sausage and turkey bacon and maybe beans?

I also ended up in bed after work around 7:45 pm – listening to an audiobook. I’ve listened to SO MANY GREAT AUDIOBOOKS lately. I’m at 88 books for the year – and I just updated my reading challenge to 100 books. 12 more. I can do 12 more, right?

Not sure if its the sudden change in season or something else or all in my head but my breathing/asthma issues have been icky the last few days. After chorale on Tuesday night I noticed how difficult is was for me to sing quietly – holy breath control I don’t have anymore. My chest was bothering me all day – and I felt like not getting enough air was making me sleepy. I was right, I did the Pulse Ox and it hovered around 92. Meh.

This morning my wakeup time was 11:45am. HAHAHAHAHA. Really? I haven’t stayed in bed that long in weeks and weeks.

I’m glad I had an alarm set just in case, I could have easily slept longer – and been late for work. Which is at 2pm. And yes, I know how pathetic this sounds. Pulse Ox was hovering around 94 – which seems to me not abnormal for me. I should track these things all the time to get a better reading. I should do A LOT OF THINGS.

On a completely different note – I end this post with one thought…

The phrase “making love” CREEPS ME OUT. Do not say it out loud in conversation to me, ever. Please. Thank you. I think the only time I’ve said it out loud is when singing Air Supply.
