Wait, what did I do today?

I guess the thing is, I’m working again. So for the last six weeks where I used to blogging about doing something – now that something is working? Maybe that’s it?

One of our small business tenants at The Foundry (and a friend…) texted me and said “I heard you’re back at work!” And when I told him I was his response back was…”welcome home.” I know the best people.

Time for a news flash. Just in case you aren’t *sure* ANYTHING involving a crowd of people this Summer is canceled. EVEN IF THEY DIDN’T TELL YOU YET. It will be. Carry on. This message brought to you by the cancellation announcement of the French & Indian Encampment at Old Fort Niagara in July.

Anyone else participating in the pandemic stimulus splurge movement? I’ve seen a few of my Twitter friends mention their items this week, so I guess I’ll share a few of mine.

Large purchases we should be investing in – a new refrigerator and stove. Medium purchase we instead invested in – new Poolba robot cleaner. Because, lazy AF. (Also, our old one died last year and it turns out we hate manually cleaning and it doesn’t work as well.) The last two years we’ve made sure the pool was ready to go for the SCA Musical Cast Party. I’m getting antsy and want to swim.

Banneton Baskets! (Proofing Baskets for Sourdough Bread) A splurge for sure, but all the proceeds go back to scholarships for students at the San Francisco Baking Institute,  so there’s that. Time to start making some pretty sourdough loaves! And no, I had NO idea on earth what this was until a few weeks ago.

Ok, you’re turn. Confess!
