Fun with Getting the Condo Ready for Open House. I feel like a bad country wife, neglecting our own home and garden getting everything ready for the open house on Sunday! (We have a wee pumpkin that has been doubling in size daily! And big peppers! And watermelons! And cucumbers!)

Mind you, I’m having fun shopping for items to “stage” the condo (comforter set, throw pillows, artwork, patio furniture, shower curtain/towels, floor plants, a computer desk, brushed silver owls for the bathroom…you know stuff that makes a house a home) all things we will be using in our future remodeled home but get to buy for the condo staging, which happens to be tax-deductible! We decided to go this route instead of renting items, since we will eventually be purchasing them all for our house in the next year or so anyhow. Insanely fun I should say.

Of course there are also things we are doing that are adding value to the condo only such as changing all the knobs/door handles to brushed silver, buying a new light fixture for the dining room, changing the overhead lights in the hallways. But all in all a few hundred dollars for a POLISHED look is so worth it!

Now off to Pier One and to clean! (And let in the carpet cleaners.)
