Things I accomplished on my LIST OF SNOW DAY ACTIVITIES I COULD BE DOING BUT INSTEAD I SIT ON THE COUCH STARING AT THE INTERNET NEXT TO A SNORING DOG, CUP OF COFFEE AND FIREPLACE

  1. Blog! I blogged! I did, I really did. And I’m doing it again!
  2. Bake Cookies! I made a double batch of toll-house bar cookies without nuts. And also a half-dozen mini banana kiwi sweet breads.
  3. Make Soups! I have a seriously freezer burned pot roast swimming in a bottle of merlot in the crockpot. Tomorrow it will become French Onion Soup and Beef & Broccoli Stirfry. AND instead of White Chicken Chili, because I AM FRESH OUT OF ROASTER CHICKENS WHAT? I opted for a Potato, Bean, Bacon and Corn Chowder. I found a quart of frozen seafood chowder and few pounds of bacon in the freezer and then added cans of potatoes, corn and white beans from the depths of the pantry shelves. And let me tell you. It. Is. Delicious.
  4. Make Homemade Bread! Currently have 6 batches of no-knead bread rising and ready to bake tomorrow.
  5. Helped HWMMS with lines for Laughter on the 23rd Floor. He’s off-book for Act One. Now, Act Two.
  6. Washed throw rugs and bed linens. Exciting, I know.
  7. Deep cleaned and organized pantry! Done! As you can see by the pretty photo.

And now, while it wasn’t on the list…we are catching up with a few episodes of The Orville.

Surprisingly, Springville has not had any blizzard like polar-vortex, conditions. Seriously. No snow. Maybe a flurry here and there. Of course it’s windy. Of course it’s negative degrees but no accumulation. All around us, roads are closed, snow is piling up.

WNY is still scheduled to be closed. Stay tuned for Snowday #2.
