Day #52 (one month unemployed) which apparently means I wake up at 8 am when I don’t have to and listen to my friend’s online church morning prayers from New Hope, PA and bake homemade bread and bring fresh slices from the oven along w/coffee downstairs to HWMMS at work.

I have a bit of guilt knowing HWMMS is working and I’m not. No guilt when I’m in bed sick, but on days I feel ok. Guilt.

Happy Monday Ya’all!

So, the weather report for this week said…

A gray week is ahead, with some rain expected almost every day.

Boo. I hunkered down in front of the laptop and did a bunch of work for Inclusive Theater of WNY.

And I laughed at the IRONY that NY State has canceled the Democratic Primary when the reason why I switched my political affiliation from NOTHING to Democrat was to vote for Warren. Ha. Guess I won’t be inspecting any elections anytime soon either.

But as the afternoon went on, I noticed there really wasn’t any rain coming and the sun was out – SO I decided to spend the late afternoon fighting carpets of chickweed and worms in the herb garden. I rescued patches of thyme, parsley, chives & oregano. And I planted dill, cilantro, more chives (never enough!) and more parsley seed. Oh, and HWMMS brought out a bottle of Apple Moscato wine to keep me company.

Note in both photos the doggos are keeping watch. Ha ha ha. And yes, I’m wearing my Penguin Fleece Hoodie Nightgown because ILOVEITSOMUCHINEVERWANTTOTAKEITOFF.

Even if It was a bit warm in the sun…

Believe it or not (believe it) I’m ridiculously winded after being outdoors weeding for a few hours. I took a shower, did a nebulizer treatment and I could go to bed. Heavy chest. Light headed. Meh. I did too much apparently.

Damn this illness is ever-lingering.

And now for a few other photos of things growing at Weber Wonderland.

Daffodils! (My favorite…) Ignore the messy not mulched beds. I plan on planting onions among the roses after the daffodils and red tulips bloom.

And Pink Hyacinths. The smell is intoxicating!

GARLIC! (That’s about 1/3 of the crop.)

And one last random note. I’m not only completely spent from weeding the herb garden (CHICKWEED IS THE DEVIL and no, I didn’t forage any of it for salad, I was too angry at the invasive carpet of roots everywhere…)

What was I saying?

OH – yeah…not only am I tired from weeding for a few hours but I’ve reached the 125% screen size phase of quarantine life on the laptop.

Don’t judge.
