I love my Instant Pot so much. In a million years I would never be able to pull off something so tasty (and simple) without it. I have no patience for endless stirring and there’s a reason one of my nicknames from HWMMS is “scortch.”

Recipe?

  • Barley
  • Chicken Stock (I always have homemade in the fridge)
  • Sage Sausage
  • Dehydrated Mushrooms (While seeking out spawn, I stumbled upon this site – North Spore – and bought a bunch of packages!)
  • Onions
  • Green Onions
  • Garlic
  • Rosemary (Fresssssssssh. I currently have 4 plants waiting to go outside in the herb garden that I recently picked up from Zittle’s Farm. I never, ever have lunch growing rosemary or sage by seed so I get plants every year.)
  • Salt & Pepper

Throw it all in the Instant Pot. Press the MULTIGRAIN button. Drool while the smell fills the air. Eat.
